I've been considering going this route and doubt myself every now and then while continuing to research (and I'm just a young single guy!).

I am interested in single family rentals and building and renting a storage facility.

Remember though, you still have to sell them on your product or service.

For me personally, my vacancies are much lower, so I use 5%, but I also have single family homes and tend to keep tenants for multiple years.

My name is Paul D. and my wife (Nitza) and I just recently have returned to the States as we have been living the last +3 years in Yangon, Myanmar and also have been spending time in our home in Ecuador.Now that we are back in The Woodlands/Conroe area near Houston we are looking to get are current real estate investments in order (three single family homes in this area) as they have been rented the last +3 years and we are looking at utilizing the equity we have in these properties so we can invest and buy/sell more properties.

It's not dedicated to a single unit and can be used by both units.

We can all agree that this real estate game is about consistent action and at times if our actions aren't successful we / I tend to be less productive and even stall at times.If you're like me, let's be accountability partners so we can close some deals!!!

I have a single family home that I've lived in that needs some general kitchen and  bathroom work .  

I would not recommend doing the design part yourself unless you are extremely familiar with current trends, picking materials, coordinating colors, understanding product specs, and building code for that matter.

Software changes are occurring all the time and so a lot of older posts could very have outdated info, surpassed with newer/better versions, newer products (hopefully!).
