I signed a WS contract with a seller this week....after which I discovered he owes more on the property than the contract dictates that I pay him: we agreed upon $85,000.

Hello,I'm reading Avery Carl's book "Short-Term Rental Long-Term Wealth" and she mentions setting up a designated business account and making housekeepers fill out a W9 and paying them through direct deposit or an online invoice payment platform.

Although from the title I'm wondering if you would gain more responses in the mid-term rental form. 

I would say if you do post it be as detailed as possible minus borrower info re: what's the collateral exactly (estimated value, condition, etc), outstanding balance, state where it's held, terms, performing or non, 1st or 2nd position, payment amount and what you're asking price wise.

That was going to be my first suggestion.In the future, always verify the license of anyone you choose to do business with before signing any contract.

There are lots of ways to delegate what tenants are responsible for, and whichever way you choose needs to be laid out in the lease.My tenants are responsible for yard maintenance, and it is explicitly laid out in the lease terms there is no confusion.

Long story short , didn’t do my due diligence .
