In addition, I see the economic "recovery" as a large-scale transfer of leverage from private individuals to the government and about equally unlikely to succeed in the long run.Unless you are buying properties at a significant discount to construction costs in areas that will continue to grow despite the recession, you can't be sure of the appreciation.

As someone who presumably wants the job of President one day, reinforcing the image defined by McCain's campaign after the last election (not good) and large-scale self-deprecation (using the word "rogue" to describe oneself) doesn't seem like the way to go.

Place each investor with scaling lien positions, in other words, investor one who put up the most money gets a first lien on the deed of trus, second investor gets second position lien, third investor gets third and so on.
