It's allowed me to do some of my own work like changing toilets and fixing leaking ceilings, but even if I don't want to do a job personally hopefully I'll have enough knowledge to not let a contractor over charge me, or recommend something I don't need.You'll also meet local contractors, and hopefully investors.They may offer an employee discount too.

One is for women only (sorry guys, but I'm trying to help my girls invest and grow their wealth..it's my mission lol) and another that is open to anyone interested in learning about STR/Vacation Rental and LTR investing in the area. 

I don't think you need to know how to underwrite your own deals, but knowing what commercial underwriting looks like and the metrics mean would be a good place I would recommend starting.

Every system you try will have flaws, or you may salivate over a feature that appears in other software.Some familiar names are mentioned frequently: Stessa, Apartments.com, RentRedi, TenantCloud, Innago, RentManager, Avail, Rentec Direct, Doorloop, etc.I recommend conducting thorough research on each app online to understand their offerings, pricing, etc.

I would recommend staying in Findlay, Ohio for a while as your cost of entry is going to be much lower and you are local to the area.

The best contacts are those who also value growing their networks and who are clear on their business needs (e.g., funding, partnerships, access to deals, vendor recommendations, etc.).
