Hi @Ravi Kulkarni, there are multiple reasons but one of them would be that it would become possible to live in the beautiful country of Spain some time for yourself as well.

Just my 2 cents and I hope it doesn't add confusion Hi Frank, My reasoning for picking the area are: the upcoming developments that have been planned for the area (I'm counting on the value of whatever property I purchase increasing), its proximity to the lake and trails (which is good for me because I ride a bike and a longboard in the summers as well as for future buyers), the accessibility to lake shore drive ( I work in Lincoln Square and Lake Shore Drive makes getting north extremely painless), and the overall beauty of the area.

It's also a detriment, as most appraisers tend to be conservative by nature, leading to "analysis paralysis".

Naturally, higher return, higher risk.

They purchase a bunch of houses in the rough side of town very cheap and rehab them beautifully and then sell them to some one who wants the investment for cash flow and that can manage the risk.

My older brain has problems absorbing what comes naturally to those who are far more experienced than I am.
