Florida...what is there not to like? Great weather (most of the time) , beaches, fishing, great business climate, no state income tax..the list goes on. Florida is now #3 in population (we just passed NY). A recent Harris poll asking people what state they would move to showed Florida as the #1 choice. As far as investing, you and another billion people want to buy here:). Are you wanting to flip, buy and hold, offer vacation rentals? You have lots of options. As another poster stated, we too have low inventory and prices are still rising. Remember the #1 rule: you make your money when you buy. Come on down, take your time, and wait until you find a deal that makes sense. If you are going to be an absentee owner, make sure and carefully choose your PM. I just had a nightmare experience with one in Tx and it cost me a lot of money. If you have specific questions feel free to PM me. I am in SW Florida, work as an agent, and also do my personal investing. If you have never visited it IS worth the trip.
