I haven't used the site for any extensive work, but I have a rental that is across the country from me, and I have used it to hire flooring, painting, and landscapers before with out issue.You post what the scope of the project is (which can be pretty much anything around a house), and contractors/businesses will submit bids (or ask more questions in order to submit a bid).
