I had no money saved and an opportunity to purchase a house on land that had been in my wife’s family for more than 5 generations.

I've always thought about real estate investments as a future goal and I've recently started looking for my first home to purchase.

The first year or two are going to be a grind but the work put in now will pay dividends in the future.

Maybe they start with a lower advertised bid to generate interest?

Typically for these type of deals, I'm looking to walk in to one with substantial equity and then sell it in the near future.

If we do not get to court is it better for her or is it the same in a future landlord‘s eyes?
