I like to tell beginners to do one thing excellent rather than be average in everything.Start to make real life networking connections with seasoned agents, contractors and start finding partners prior to any property hunt even beginning.

Understand your own investment strategy, if you're looking to value add and refi out then it's going to be very difficult to do so in any of these areas, if you're okay leaving 20% in on a CV Loan and reaping the excellent cash flow then it makes sense to buy in the inner city. 

Their lender portal is not as slick as other servicers, but their communication is excellent and I have been very happy with them.
