I am a software developer by trade and am blessed to have an excellent career with a decent salary that leaves me with some disposable income that I'm hoping to put into some smart investments to generate passive income.

If you're considering getting more involved in real estate as a career, I'd definitely recommend seeking out a brokerage with educational and training opportunities.  

January of this year I got a call on a letter I send to home near the fields my boys play T-Ball on.  

Anastasia,I had the same thing due to a tenant overfilling the trash can, leaving the top open next to a concrete wall and an empty field = Free lunch for all! 

Thanks to real estate I am able to stand on both of my feet without the support of corporate America. it is amazing to see the fruits of labor for all these years. real estate is the career that I will never be retired from. but it does beat 9 to 5 for any given day by a long shot. 

I'm 24, have recently graduated, and am almost a year into my first job in Atlanta which I like and would like to try a career in.

In the short term,   I am looking to begin my investing career by "house hacking," preferably looking for a duplex or triplex in either Decatur or a northern suburb (Sandy Springs, Roswell, etc.).
