I see tons of houses in Milwaukee that are left to rot in the inner city by out of state landlords who probably thought it was a good idea to buy a $25,000 house that rents for $800 and just hire a property manager to deal with everything.

I’m sure I’ve read a good few chapters on these topics but as with a lot in REI it takes me a while to get just the jist of them.

@Megan Bridgette,My past experience was with HUD homes and it was so long ago that these web resources did not yet exist (early to late 1990's).Today, I would use Zillow for comparables so I would have an idea what to expect before approaching an agent for a CMA.

@Jose Castillo Another idea is to look up the list of homeowners within the same neighborhood/part of town as the house you are selling.
