Can you do it yes, but in terms of a smooth transition you might want to wait, it is currently Wednesday, waiting until Monday likely shouldn't be an issue, and if they are as bad as you say they are they could try fighting some of the damages that I assume you would be taking out of the security deposit with "the owner" while you are there instead of putting that headache on a property manager if you have one.
