I ended up buying a duplex in Camp Taylor that I'd been watching for a year as it was nice enough that I could convince my wife to live in one side of it and it was just good enough to keep afterwards for a long term rental, though certainly not anything I'd normally buy at 75K a side.Best, - Chuck

I have watched many new to the game jump head first into a snake pit thinking it was a gold mine .

I chalked it off as a learning experience, if I wouldn't have purchased that house in 08 I would never have purchased my triplex in Newark in 09, so I am actually glad about it and have no regrets.A follow up to my post I had a lady in my triplex 5 months without paying rent and I finally got her out!!!!!!

Expecting my first child/daughter any day now and want to position myself to enjoy watching her grow up and not having to spend my time away from her at an 8-5.

In my opinion, flipping isn't a guarantee in all areas.Like most I watch a lot of RE shows that show flipping or buy-hold investments.

Timing game means constantly watching properties in your market and knowing the right time to strike.

I'm not an economist so I won't try to predict when the market is going to correct, but obviously anyone that's watching can see that it's going to happen. 

They are worth watching.

I laid a pile of cash on the table and let them know this is what I can do for a cash offer but lady said for tax purposes she would rather take payments.
