In my market, it seems properties are roughly the same price whether updated or not and there is not a pricing gap between updated and outdated properties.

Most places I have built here in Texas they don't care about updating one.

Just the typical work of painting, flooring, updating the kitchen and appliances, and similar type of work.

Plumbing can be another issue because of old pipes that get rusty and electrical issues as well with old fuses instead of circuit breakers, but again i lucked out and there were updated electrical and quite a bit of newer plumbing in the home i bought.
