I've seen what be short of money can do to families - the stress even more than the doing without - so I feel like it's good to stop once in a while and think about how fortunate we are that there is nothing like that standing in the way of our being happy.I'm also thankful about 2010 being the year that we got off the sidelines and got our first couple of properties - we made the step from thinking about/preparing/wishing for our dreams and actually started working on them.

Don't forget about your local Real Estate Investing Club.

BUT we have been fortunate to meet brokers we trust who can guide us. 

So let’s get that out of the way.The fact is the so called investment gurus do very little investing themselves but print a fortune selling advice, videos, books and podcasts.

Or do I give it to a charitable cause that can perhaps help those less fortunate?

Join a local real estate investor club and gather 30 to 40 names of buyers.

My wife and I were fortunate enough to get a good deal on a duplex before "hacking" became the term.

Fortunately my partner and I were able to sell it but I didn't make any money on it.

And you get the benefit of having over 100 past ones to catch up on.Locate and attend 3 different local REIA club meetings great place to meet people gather resources and info.
