Tips for find resources (such as financong, etc) for the west side of detroit?

Just wondering if I should start fresh with ownership of this house and know everything that's behind the walls or save money and keep whats there there if i can isolate the issue.  

Wondering if anyone else has had luck.

While we are talking about partners and taxes, I wonder if the experts have any tips on specifically 'entity set up'.We are going to be using a lawyer to  set things up, but wanted to get some feedback here too. 

Of course I've used google and found a ton of websites and things but I'm wondering what resources and trending patterns you all have found to be exceptionally helpful when learning the ins and outs of your markets and sub-markets. 

Little tip to finding proper owners... a lot of owners own the property in an LLC but then use their primary address for having the tax bill mailed to.  

- EtcDoes anyone have any suggestions or tips for how to manage those results.
