Be sure to screen really really good - even if it cost you and extra month or two -I tell you right now the best bang for your buck is going to be getting really good screened tenants that are capable of making the payments .

I recently acquired 2 multi tenant properties in South Eastern Ontario, and I am looking for some good resources for things like credit checks, tenant screening, help with rental agreements, etc..As this is my first investment, I am looking at building my entire process from the bottom up.

My personal opinion is that a condo would be less "hands on" for the owner with keeping everything up to code which would then enable you to really focus screening tenants and on getting your systems in place.
