Don't let them throw you off, no matter how passionately wrong they are.

If you have read any of the "guru" books or listened to any of their video material, then you know that a college education does not necessarily mean an education in success.My advice would be to determine what your "passion" is and study in any way possible about that.

some have let me down hard, some I should never have gotten involved with, some play me like a sap while reaching for my wallet, and some, well, while the first heat and passion may be long gone we still share a knowing glance and a warm smile when I unexpectedly catch sight of them across the bookshelf.......

Learn the business, see if you have a passion and start building something.
