If you haven't crawled around in your attic during driving rain with a bright light trying to trace out a leak, given that right now your best option for a roof replacement is $30k, then I'd question your gumption.Honestly even getting a roof replaced for $6k would be excessive for me.

Hello,I need someone in the New City area of Chicago (south side just north of Englewood) to help with electrical work (lighting around the garage, faulty fixtures) laying tile (kitchen floor and bathroom) and sanding a hardwood floor (if it can be salvaged).

Sure the tenant might be a PITA and call me about something stupid like the light not working when all that happened was the bulb burned out, but that annoyance is a small price to pay to have someone else fund my early retirement and give me spending money.

(He apparently did not want the apartments as they were trashed, and plumbing pipes, lighting, etc. were all 'recycled' before the foreclosure.)So to access the storage units with how the property was developed  I need an easement on his property and he needs one on mine.Currently I am evicting him, asking the judge to have him assign his leases to me.
