I have always found that using a local credit union or business-friendly bank and putting my properties into commercial loans with those banks has been the easiest and simplest way.

It's worth spending a couple thousand dollars to get the facts about what you can and cannot do and to be guided through the process correctly the first time by an attorney specializing in these complex, ever-changing laws.

Go to BUILD YOUR TEAM at the top of the screen and look for local investors or meetups in your area.

It's a bit of a quiet area but local people may find a STR of interest there.

It will be fun, we'll have drinks and meet at a local vacation rental-this is a great way to learn more if you are interested in this type of investment.  

I would simply get away from any large bank and go to a small local community bank that will cherish your deposit relationship..
