These people being compared to those who get behind and default are apples and oranges.The oragnges are probably fed up with the system, they tried and the bankers caused the problem, if they lost their job in a window factory due to the housing bubble, then they got behind I can understand them being bitter.

Keep in mind that the new payment is Not being paid by you, but from the cash flow from the asset u purchase with the borrowed capital.People can argue back and forth if this is a wise or poor choice, I only agree it is a poor one IF the person lacks an ability to create arbitrage from it.

Many newbies leverage themselves to the hilt, underestimate rehab costs, find out it can take much longer to rent out in some areas than they thought, and can be totally caught off guard by some of the many complexities that can crop up (whoops, not a legal duplex, was a meth house previously, has code violations, mold, lead problems, new tenants trashed the place, etc. etc.)Two reasons constantly given for business failure is lack of experience in the field and lack of enough money.
