I think anyone involved in real estate would be wise to pull up the opportunity zone map and look at the areas included in it and their investing zones and look for overlaps.

However, many states, including Texas, have a law known as the "statute of frauds" which requires that some contracts must be written to be valid.So my understanding is for a real estate transaction to be valid it must be in writing even with a rental agreement so anything verbal is NOT binding and is just out of good faith.
