I'm a firm believer in tapping other peoples accumulated knowledge and I'd like to get some feedback from our seasoned landlords here on BP.We've heard of baby-proofing a house, but what are some things you guys do to "tenant-proof" a house.

Every once in awhile I deal with someone who brings the hair up on the back of your neck, usually they are in cuffs and escorted by jailors.Everyone can find where I live, my name and address are in the phone book.

We're dealing with people who normally live paycheck to paycheck, so, if anything happens, they will have to choose between getting their car repaired to be able to get to work, paying the rent or feeding their baby.

It can become a long, drawn out, time wasting process of splitting hairs.

I believe it's similar to the fact that it's not illegal to Pay an unlicensed contractor, hair dresser, automobile broker, attorney, etc. but is certainly illegal for the person receiving payment.

Since most clogs are hair clogs, these things save you a ton on plumber calls.

I am a motivated baby boomer staring down the barrel of an insufficient retirement account. 

When we move around, we kick up dust, spread hair and skin cells around, and generally leave an almost invisible mess wherever we go.
