Received the following today from a Foreclosure Listing Service in Texas that monitors the major counties in the DFW, Austin & San Antonio areas of Texas.Almost every county we cover showed an increase in postings for the first auction of 2021.

The property has been vacant for years and was sold at an auction to recover outstanding property tax debt.Recently, someone else has filed a quitclaim deed on the property, but he doesn’t really know what to do because everything seems to be a mess.

The house will be auctioned 1/12/2021.

Can you imagine if an adult child called me three weeks after their parent passed, only to hear that I had claimed the property abandoned and auctioned everything off?

This house was bought through an auction.

The auditor would not reduce the value to match the foreclosure auction's "market value" (it was in bad shape when I got it) and its one of my higher-taxed SFHs still. 

I was driving for dollars in my hometown and there is this foreclosure that has been foreclosed for a couple of years now and I am just curious if there is any way I can possibly get the property without it going to auction?

I do not know if Cuyahoga Co only auctions 'free and clear' (meaning no outstanding filed liens) properties OR after someone picks up the place, some lending institution comes out of thin air wanting an unpaid loan or worst, some deadbeat who hasn't paid child support in 17 years and the gov't comes to collect as a first lender (even before the financing guys get a crack at collection).
