This house wouldn't have been my top choice as a rental, circumstances just made it one. 

I wanted to live there but now seeing my daughter and seeing the properties Its a hard choice to make sacrifice for a year and just suck it or up or get my family into a rental give myself a year or two to buy and then get a house after the initial investment 

I presume so, since you mention wanting to refinance, or was the current lender asleep when it extended the existing 1st mortgage?

Additionally, in 7.5 years we will both be in our mid-50's, which is the age I would like to have the choice to "Do Whatever I Want". 

We currently live a 10 minute drive from the ocean, and that's hard to give up.For quality of life, our first choice was California, but we don't have the capital to invest there right away.So, here's the question we're currently faced with: If you could move anywhere in the country, where would you move? 

My first choice would be to sell the lot to the MH tenants on terms, but if not, I'll be looking into a rental/lease situation while I try to flip the parcel to another buyer. 

I had the tenants make a choice. 

I understand owner-financing but that is not always a likely choice.
