Based on previous experience, they do not guarantee any compensation for damages and certainly do not pay eviction costs.

All the work he did, thought he did & we had to redo, was NOT compensated.

I agree with the others that you should be able to fire for cause.They should be compensated for the work they've done, which includes the future reservations they've reserved.I would really think this through and try to negotiate a settlement.

And more importantly...what kind of compensation would I be offereing or giving for that matter for this person whom I am bringing the deal to?

@Paul Paquin First off its very generous of you to bring in a family member and hand them the opportunity to make $50k.That being said You should definitely compensate your contractor partner for the work he is doing. 

He took your time so you need to be compensated.

The craziest past of this dune buggy accident is I felt like the biggest a-hoe in the world and could not forgive myself as I was driving to the hospital to meet the two accident victims, but the time I got to the hospital both victims had already been releases with not even a scratch.I never learned my lesson after the dune buggy accident.

You can always go after compensation for rental loss and criminal charges if you feel the need.
