W/ all due respect, I think this frankly only works on shorter hold periods - if you start to calculate out a five-ten year hold but don't factor in PV, the #s will look muuuuch different.That said, I think - conceptually - your explanation is approachable for the vast majority of investors who just consider money in, money out.
