I'm in Houston, investor in training, 0 property yet, currently a steel contractor, gates and access controls.

I want to start to resale, self help material, dvds, training for customers, homeowners, to buy off me from my marketing.

Get your real estate license at a good firm with training and learn from an experienced broker. 

Looking for info on how much can I write off in depreciation, how much of the bills for shared service (gas/water/electric/tv/internet) I can write off, can I write off my home office, how much of my cell phone bill can I write off, etc. 

JMO,  best to NOT ask the "internet" re these important tax implications. 

This was 15+ years ago when there weren't much information on the internet.

I've spent hours training them to reduce property touches, place better tenants and overall think of being more efficient like any business owner would.   

Some mentees will act as a bloodhound for the mentor, knocking on doors, driving for dollars, scouring the internet, making cold calls, or performing other services that help the mentor find new deals.
