I have a software that pulls some data from the MLS that shows a map of areas and shows zip, city, mean income, mean value of properties, forcast appreciation, price to rent ratio, # of all cash sales, # of abandoned houses, and foreclosures in the area. 

I do think the lower price of power is attractive to tech and other industries, therefore, we'll continue to see that grow (T-mobile's here and several data farms just south of us in Grant County (~25 min drive).

I'm looking to combine geographic data to determine the best zones to look into investing.

How do you find the data for sold units in the area for the past 3 years?

I do web research, data entry, and other stuff.

I know there is a Denver based company called AirDNA that researches data in Airbnb markets all over the world but I have heard from people using Airbnb to rent out their properties that some of their data is very far off.

A really good website to look at data is texas a & m real estate center.

We have driven by the property, yard has not been tended too and looks like no one has occupied the home for several weeks.

What I am really after are the look alike audiences and putting the Facebook data engine to work for me. 

The City of Austin has entered into a pilot contract with Seattle-based company, Host Compliance, to provide data on short-term rentals in the city.
