People are responsible for updating their own assessment information.

Does it make financial sense to update a nice but outdated SFH for renting?

Mostly Cosmetic, New Kitchen, Master Bath, and updated the décor from the 70's to present.

Pass-through entities are Schedule C businesses, partnerships, S-Corporations, and rental businesses (Schedule E) and LLC's who are taxes as the above entities.The income from each entity is treated separately, therefore, a loss from one entity cannot offset income from another entity.Capital gains are excluded from the the pass-through deduction calculation.

@Colten RoneyThere are many accountant's/CPA's on this messageboard who frequently provide value to the forum by answering questions and posting updates to the tax laws as they relate to real estate.

I feel i am capable to tackle the minor repairs and updates because of though.

Being that this was a house with no updates at all, it would NOT appraise for that price and thus would never sell (the seller was hoping to sell within two years if possible).
