Hey everyone, my name is Jerell and I’m new to bigger pockets!

We understand that Option 1 would provide higher rental income than Option 2, but we are planning to live here for at least 10 years, and would prefer to live on the top two floors (the top floor has MUCH more sunlight, is bigger than the basement, and would prefer not to live under anyone).  

Hell All,It's been awhile since I have been active on bigger pockets but for good reasons. :) After much reading and podcasting I decided to leverage the equity in my properties in the Palm Springs,CA  area and do  1031 exchanges for Multifamily properties in Memphis, TN where I had one 4 unit complex already. 

Bigger/higher buildings take longer too unless there is easy roof access. 

I also listen to the Bigger Pockets podcasts when I can.

He is doing bigger apartments and there is economy in scale, that's probably how he makes his 200 per door but he was doing that when he started out there. 

As a result, I'm not able to get an umbrella policy through them because they want all of my properties insured by their company.
