Yes i receive longer requests most time through airbnb and propose to work "off-line" and do a more thorough background check if i see fit and rental agreement, but i need to rework the agreement to be more specific for the "longer short-term" needs.

Then pick a company to deal with the background check.

To me, this is more the investment background than the opinions of individuals. 

I noticed people here are willing to pay a bit more for rent if the property is a bit updated so we definitely were looking into updating a property if we could get something for cheap.How achievable is this... we have literally close to no background in real estate and both work full time jobs.Thanks for any input

I’ve stumbled upon some commercial real estate opportunities and it lead me into really diving into the knowledge and background of commercial.

One unit recently had one roommate move out and another one move in and she passed all the background and was fine with me. 

Hey everyone, just a bit of background, I'm a full-time high school P.E. teacher/football coach, full-time musician, and working on my REI  career so that can take the place of teaching eventually!  

Just to workout the numbers on this property, here is the background..... it’s on the water, comps are in $800k range, this property is 1950 built 3000 sqft single family home in a good rental area.

I recommend someone with the real estate / investing background because I plan on getting into the investment world within 1-2 years.  

They screen pretty hard too, 3x rent, background, etc.My concern is I have seen alot of zillow post in the same subdivion at similar price and even lower that have been on the site anywhere from 15 day to 2 month.
