Also, his broker could be responsible as well if he promoted the practice of real estate property management by this guy on "his own."

Considerations: What happens if something goes wrong on the property / needs repairs Who is liable if we get sued What if we need more cash to infuse into the business for whatever purpose What if someone wants out of the contract This particular group of investors want a promote from their investors along with, I believe, a property acquisition fee and an annual fee.

Looks like the moderators put their foot down on your promoting your biz.

I thought the whole concept of a mentor was that they give you guidance because it promotes good will and that since this business is built on relationships it’s good for seasoned and newbies to come together.

You may be in a pretty good spot where you are.Typically when you are out of cash, the next step can be becoming a promoter. 

I'm not promoting this yet (because it hardly exists yet!)
