Troy Michaels URGENT EARNEST MONEY QUESTION
14 November 2015 | 14 replies
If you have no yet signed these addenda, then you don't yet have a binding contract, and you have the option to back out of the contract (even if you've paid the earnest money). And if you haven't signed those addenda, you likely won't get them until at least Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. So, if that's the case, you pretty much have until next week to decide if you want to move forward, even if you put the earnest money up today.I'm not saying that backing out next week is a good thing to do (backing out of any deal for no good reason can hurt your reputation), but legally you have that right up until you sign the final Contract addenda.
