I also strongly suggest attending local REI meetings to see what successful investors are doing in your area.

We also have relatives in Enders Park neighborhood, which is still strong, but they are fighting off the crime North of Lisbon.I believe the area has momentum in the right direction with all of the commercial influx on North Ave.

Yes, I believe we may see some slowdown, but Houston is still a very strong, more diversified than ever, economy that continues to attract people from other areas.  

Cali does have thousands of those in the exact same style just in case anyone was looking.
