Want some examples: the first thing you will notice is wreckless and agressive driving (even by my standards), people running red lights at full speed long after the signal changed etc - what you don't whitness very often because it happens so fast: items stolen out of cars, cars stolen, tools stolen, materials from jobsites stolen, copper pipes cut out of basments, people following the UPS van to pick up amazon packages and selling content on craigslist, someone in serious withdrawal pain may ask you for $5 gas money and then ask for your wallet and cell phone while flashing a gun, domestic violence, people yelling on the street, shots fired at night etc.

On the new construction houses we just sold, one in San Clemente, CA (1,625,000) and the other in Capistrano Beach, CA (1,950,000) we used Thermador high end appliances (48" gas range/oven, 30" refrigerator column, 30" freezer column, micro drawer, 48" stainless over range hood, dishwasher) In the duplex we are selling for ($1,800,000 or $900,000 each unit which are 1662 sq. ft. each) we used Kitchen Aid gas stove, french door refrigerator, above stove microwave vented outside, and dishwasher.

They try keeping HOA fees low, but had to impose special assessments when they ran out of money to pay for electricity in the common areas, and gas for central heating.

As far as occupancies and other details, I find foreclosure listings have notoriously inaccurate details--they say occupied when they are not, wrong number of bedrooms and bathrooms, wrong heating source listed (oil vs gas vs electric), all kinds of incorrect stuff.
