If you are both tenants are equal and the only difference is that one is long term and the other is short, then the answer is simple, long term.If both types of tenants are paying rent on time and the only difference is wear then the long term tenant wins.

Correct me if I am wrong but my understanding is for lower end properties (of $ 150 k and lower) the profit is basically equals to an hourly wage of the time and effort you put in to make the whole process happen.

So here is the scenario:Current Market Value as of the Lease Option was written in as $247,000(this is a number we both agreed on .. based of an appraisal that was a year old and off of tax assessment.)Option Consideration was $10,000 (roughly 4%)Purchase price at the end of the lease is $247,000 minus the option consideration of 10,000 equals 237,000 due at closing.
