A relative found out recently that the lawyer who recorded a lien for them put his law office as the notification address, not their home address.  10 years later when the guy stopped paying, they found out from the records' office that the home foreclosed and they never received notice because it went to the lawyer's office, now non-existent, not their home.

They use heavy duty, high speed special printers that cost anywhere between $15,000~$30,000 depending on the model (which I've considered buying), not to mention the type of font they use, as well as how the ink prints on the paper they use, also being different than the ones retail buyers have access to.

So the seller stopped paying the taxes and the property went to tax sale, where nobody would bid on the property except one person who bid the minimum bid.
