A few more things, always get a permit, have excellent insurance, set up security systems with cameras right away and really pay attention to your carrying costs.

Safer At Home guidelines can be put in place for all tenants and the rentals can be marketed with those guidelines clearly defined (might even help attract prospective tenants).
