The house has a partially finished basement with 3 seperate rooms and a garage and bathroom that was converted without a permit ( very very common here on long island I did the same in my house ) .Of course if an inspector comes out most likely I either have to get up to code or eliminate the garage converstion and take the walls down in the basement .If I dont I would probably have to wait up to 8 weeks to get drawings and approvals thus delaying the entire project .

The upgrades included new hardwood floors, painted throughout, (previous owner had begun upgrades which included new doors, new bathroom sinks, decorative trim, mirrored closet doors).

When we rented the condo just recently, we asked the landlord to make some upgrades in the master bathroom (its a 2 bed 2 bath condo) and we offered to split the cost 50/50 (he was reluctant on the overall cost so we agreed to pitch in because we liked the place otherwise).

The husband comes outside to shoot the breeze and I ask about the house, if they are having any issues, he says no but wanted to ask me about swapping the shower/tub in the guest bathroom to one of those walk-in bathtubs...He said his wife has trouble lifting her legs into the shower as it is and that they would pay for the tub and install.
