I haven't used the site for any extensive work, but I have a rental that is across the country from me, and I have used it to hire flooring, painting, and landscapers before with out issue.You post what the scope of the project is (which can be pretty much anything around a house), and contractors/businesses will submit bids (or ask more questions in order to submit a bid).

Not sure what volume you are doing but setting up a Google Voice account and forcing every interested party to leave a message is a great way to filter out serious vs non-serious callers and prevent yourself from wasting time answering too many calls.I don't have any experience in these type of direct mailers, but have worked extensively on different email campaigns in my previous jobs.
