Is it just something you have to look at multiple times daily or is there a better way to get an "inside source" before all the info is release to the public.It may be because I am just starting out, but I seem to only find houses that are on the market for months and months and clearly investors aren't pounding the door down for them, so why should I?

The stock market is very nearly an efficient system (that is, there are few real "deals" out there, because changes in a companies value are almost instantly reflected in its price) so your only real source of income is long-term appreciation (or maybe dividends if you go with a more conservative portfolio).

The MLS sheet listed the sq ft. source as "per public record", so on Monday I'm going to go to town hall and look at that public record.
