I would look outside the city.

If you live in the property you get some relief or discount.Every city charges a different rental permit/license, just need to figure out which city you are investing in.

Encouraged by the steady redevelopment of both city's downtowns and new construction heading West.

I have done good at South Atlantic bank.. although to my knowledge I am there only out of area borrower..Most of these banks will only lend to you if you live there or at least have a second home there.it took me 3 years and many turn downs to get to them. but now we are on project 7 or 8 in the last 18 months and I find our personal banker there to be very helpful and of course the essance of a Southern Gentlemen.

Our old home, which we now rent out, is a 2bd/1ba near the downtown area of our small city.

I find even the most tenant friendly state/county/City in the US heaven for landlords when compared to Spain. 

One day after my 14 day due diligence period I recevied a call from my bank saying they would not finance  it because it  was too soon, and because they  were not sure about the market in that city.

Does anyone is the Kansas City Mo area have or know a reputable Attorney and Title company thats familiar with seller finance, sub 2 deals to be exact?
