What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

I think this might be a low point because the Canadian government is trying to pump the housing market before the election next year by lowering rates, relaxing mortgage insurance conditions etc.

Purchase price: $214,000 Cash invested: $21,400 I purchased this property for my son to live in while he is in college.

This shouldn't be your target as a newbie. 

Lots of possibilities and that's what I love about this business.

Hello Davin, i would not recommend you spend the extra money on a financial advisor at this stage.

Rates are starting to drop fairly fast and for primary homes they are already down 1.25% from earlier this year.
