I told her that if she feels that her life is in danger to call the police- after a few seconds of silence, her tone somewhat changed as if I made an offensive remark and she said we will have to respectfully disagree with that solution.

Even if you are believer in "training" tenants (a phrase and mode of thinking I personally find incredibly offensive when applied to adult citizens, rather than children or pets), recognize that this tenant is past the "training" stage, as she will soon be past the "tenant" phase!

No offense intended, but your question has been answered many times before, but I'll contribute again....Contracts are unique to your area and need to comply with local custom, so get ther reviewed by a quaified person, which is not a guru.Addendums may be written on the spot and added to a base contract, but you need some contract knowledge to write any part of a contract, especially when you modify the basic contract.

My analogy was to make the point that the two strategies are relatively orthogonal (like a Vegas bachelor party vs reading a book).Next time I'll use the analogy of choosing Chinese food vs burgers...is that less offensive?
