It's difficult for us to help you with opinions on the condo conversion because we don't know a) its location, b) condition of structure, c) configuration of units, d) specific costs.

IMO, the house configuration and amenities are highly variable & to me immaterial.The ABSOLUTE criterion is cash flow - - hey, it's an investment & I want something for my time, effort and initial cash-in as an annual ROI.

You mentioned that the seal on the refrigerator was not sealing properly because of the new door configuration, can the seal be removed and turned so that it would be in the same configuration as it was on the other side?

How big are the apartments, what configuration( how many buildings, stories, etc), when were they built, how well insulated?
