Private inspections are generally not mandatory and a good agent could review each situation with you.

The free advice on BP is great but often conflicting as everyone's situation is different.

My partner and I would still do it when the seller was made abundantly aware of the situation and it was the right solution for everyone involved.

I would try to avoid this type of situation again.

And you create a situation where you are totally dependent.For most people in the US OOS investing does not make sense, the economic delta is not large enough to justify the additnal cost and management burden.
