I still don't see a ton of jobs in the higher end of the employment spectrum and people I have talked to who are hiring tell me candidates aren't interested in moving right now. 

Two that I'm aware of are Guardian and Spectrum.

I use Spectrum and Xfinity at my cabins.

Okay, you're pondering a big spectrum of options.

I do not need much privacy, so I would love to buy a home on the cheaper end of the spectrum with a few bedrooms, and maybe the ability to add a bedroom or two (houses with advertised "bonus room", etc), and then do a rent by the room model to other individuals.

As you can imagine units at the lower end of the spectrum, regardless of shape sell fast.These sold in the last 6 months Sold multi-unit in Niagara

Say they learned a lot.Printing $2T along with super low interest rates should provide upward price pressure.The economic impact from COVID seems to be really impacting people lower on the economic spectrum. 

I'm only a little on the spectrum, but I'm pretty confident that the risks and opportunity costs involved in going after you directly  is probably never going to happen.

I will be using a CPA in conjunction but there is a broad spectrum of knowledge in the forums that might result in some better options...
