I assume you invested out of your province of residence.

Alternatively, if you want to pick apart my situation and provide me with your two cents feel free to chime in...My situation:Owner of primary residence, one rental locally, self-managed, and one joint venture rental out of Province (I'm in Canada).

I am not super stoked about the idea of owning an out of province rental (to a non family member) but am not ruling it out. 

Definitely within the expertise of a Canadian licensed CPA in the province where you file income taxes.

Would some good alternatives be investing Out of province for rental properties?

I don't feel like spending a couple hundred dollars an hour to talk with a local RE lawyer, and I have searched high and low for some creative ways to profit in real estate here in my province of New Brunswick.

@Kaylyn T.Many parts of Maine and the Maritime provinces (to the east and north) have pockets with high radon concentrations.  

Each of Canada's 10 provinces (there are also 3 territories in the north) has completely different tenancy legislation and market drivers.Good luck on the move!

Provinces such as Nova Scotia have been under the radar for quite some time and people are beginning to catch on.

A few Provinces have set lower thresholds in response to the behaviour of PayDay loan companies back in the 1990s, but ours is not one of them.
