John, I am in a similar situation, looking to diversify out of SFR in my local market and towards small investments in commercial real estate through crowdfunding but I am also not yet an accredited investor.I've found a ton of great information browsing BP as well as a lot of good informational material on a site maintained by @Ian Ippolito -- He provided this advice in another forum: "If you are nonaccredited, there are a lot fewer national choices: Richuncles, RealtyMogul and Fundrise.

@Mark Weinstock browsed is cheaper for sure but just like anywhere you have to look at the area. just to give you guys a heads up. i found a realtor that was my coworker. i can trust her and i feel pretty good that she won't commission hunt on me. by pure luck her brother 20 years ago bought 2 SF and 2 quadplex and he retired a while back just living off the rent. he has been buying and selling other homes for flips. he has decades of experience. hoping he will throw some knowledge my way. there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

You can also click on 'Browse' on the right of the search bar and you will see a big list of demographics, behaviors, etc.To select the type of housing you want to target you would go to 'demographics' and there you can select the type of home you would like to target by size, value, type of residence, etc.Let me know, if you have any questions, mate!
